Crafted from Kawakawa pounamu found on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island, its sculpted form features prominent rounded eyes, a tilted head and curved limbs, with open spaces bringing definition to the design. Measuring 35mm in length and 20mm in width, the pendant is suspended from a braided black cord, allowing the carving and natural beauty of the stone to remain the focus.
Named after the rich green leaves of the native kawakawa plant, Kawakawa pounamu is prized for its deep green colour and natural markings.
